good friday.
we serve a great God, don't we?
it has been hitting me
a lot today that not only did
he give up his son for us...
for all of our "bad stuff" {sin.}
but then he still blesses us
that is crazy love.
can not imagine giving my son over
for someone else's wrong-doings!
well good friday
always makes us realize
how wonderful easter is.
so easter.
yes the easter bunny.
the worlds attempt
to take jesus out of easter
however i find that it only
adds to it.
as a child the easter bunny
always came and just added
to the blessing of the
day.
i never questioned that the
greatest gift of easter was Jesus.
i hope to instill the same thing
in my kids.
anyways,
i love easter!
the colors of easter are sooooo
pretty.
and a basket of goodies is
so much fun. so i have pictures of
jesse's easter basket i made
this year...without the insides
{that will be posted on easter!}
and yes,
i did step by step
in case any of you care to see.
[otherwise go straight to the last picture.]
my current craft obsession: mod podge.
and as usual cardboard!
i teared up just the writing part of magazines...only wanted the black and whites.
covered the entire outside with shredded magazines
then put down a strip of hot glue....attaching colored shredded paper to the rim.
the completed rim.
and the final basket...the handle is made of an old white wire hanger that i just bent up.
and yes if your all thinking like my husband...
[ie he is never even going to know....and
what is the point?]
well, i plan on using the basket in the future
as something like an easter centerpiece for the
table...or something
and if nothing else hopefully we get cute easter
pictures.
plus, for now it is somewhat
distracting me from thinking
constantly about how this baby should come out now!
ps...the title 'floppy ears'
refers to all the easter talk. bunnies...
this is looking into his cubicle/office.
they are really big... a lot of desk space
left hand side: drawers and a high cabinet also on that wall is a white board
the walls are all peg board.
separate stand for his mac computer.
right hand side: another chair with another little separate desk area...for conferencing with other people
top of the cubicle is all glass so it does not feel to closed in.

ok next subject.
marks job.
so we finally have some pictures of
where he is working.
apparently they do not do it justice
he is really happy with his desk
{office}...he can see the airport at all times
from his chair...and he thinks he got a
really good spot in the building.
i am sure when you actually see him
he can do better explaining than me
but i have the pictures to show you.
so this is currently his only decoration, besides a banner he snagged to put up to not not make it quite so bare. on his first day he walked into the office to a brand new mac book pro laptop, shopatron mouse pad, mug, pen, and notebook. they also provide a larger desktop so he has a bigger screen to look at.

and this is a closer view of his desk...
this picture is prior to any pictures of his family...or other things that he will put up in the near future. i will post pictures when it looks better. [i would say cuter but that would not go well...]
lastly,
i was going to post a short video
from my phone but it is not working
right now...but it was
video of jesse talking on the phone.
he is a crack up.
today at the store
he had everyone in line cracking up
because he was talking into his
toy phone...and telling everyone else
about it.
it was really fun because normally he
just stares at anyone who tries
to talk to him at the stores.
ok a new rule. i think every post should have at least one picture of jessie. no excuses, i understand there was suppose to be a video but please at least one picture. love you, mom
ReplyDeleteoops another new rule. grandma should never spell her grandson's name wrong. sorry jesse!
