poopy party.

Woohoo!
she finally pooped.
yes, we are partying over here
because elleanne finally pooped.
she has not gone since last sunday
yes...
that is 10 days ago...
little girl has been a little uncomfortable!
i have the proof to show you!

< ok so this picture is gross...
she had a doctors appt. this morning
and i got the ok to start glycerin suppositories [i would have started earlier if i knew they were over the counter...]anyways this afternoon i pulled up her legs and was just ready to insert the suppository when "squish"...poop like a river came flowing out for days...and yes some with a little propulsion behind it ...which exploded all over my hand and out of the diaper. it was lovely!
please take note of how deep that pool of thick baby poo sits in the diaper...poop for days!!!!

alright and the new updates:

elleanne is 4 weeks and 3 days old.

weighing in at {8 lbs 10 oz.}

she is sleeping through the night.

what?

yes...that is right!

our little girl is already through the night.

so here's how:

i am kinda a sleep drill sergeant.

so at around 3-4 weeks of age

i start really paying attention to the times 

they get up in the middle of the night.

if they beat their time from the night 

before..ie sleep longer into the night

i dont let them get up till that time or after

again to eat...therefore their time 

keeps extending for how long they go without food.

so last thur. elleanne actually made a mistake

on her part, but a wonderful blessing for me

and slept from 11pm-7am.

well...now i know...she can make it through 

the night...pacifiers for her from here on 

out!

so since last thur. she has been only getting a pacifier at night if she wakes up crying

and she is doing great. we have had some nights she does not even wake up for the pacifier.

i am also, as stated before, a huge scheduler

so we spend a lot of time during the day 

staying awake and then sleeping at

naptime.

so we have a good circadian rhythm established.

maybe this early sleeping through the night

is God's gift to me for painful boobs

and difficulty nursing :).

...and the last update 

we have started elleanne on cloth 

diapers.

ok so last thing:

our current indulgence is

a rhurbarb pie that i made...

its my moms recipe and i think 

she got it from my grandma david. {my dad's mom}

it is my absolute favorite pie

yummmmmmm.
...oops i was corrected last night! it was grandma jippings recipe but i used grandma davids bottom pie crust recipe!

oh my goodness..

i want to go eat another piece.

its not that i make a good pie...

it is just the best recipe in the entire world! :)

so we started this blog with poop

and we end it with pie...

i say thats all in a day for me!
